Optitektur is the name of the new series. We celebrate curves and edges. The specs with the product names Achse (axis), Winkel (angle), Bogen (arc), Tangente (tangent), Kugel (sphere), Kubus (cube) all have one thing in common – they break conventions and work with the polarities of angles and spheres.

The photo- and videographer Monica Menez served as a stage constructor for the specs collection Optitektur. The specs with the product names Achse (axis), Winkel (angle), Bogen (arc), Tangente (tangent), Kugel (sphere), Kubus (cube) all have one thing in common – they break conventions and work with the polarities of angles and spheres. The unification of disparities, the fraction of geometry. Nah, of quantum physics. Be it as it may, the subject Optitektur has been interpreted in a sexycrazy way. No stiffness, not set in stone! Her photos play with shapes, hairstyles and personalities. A 90 degree angle? Nowhere to be found! More like: Pinkypastel Meets Earthy Specs With Optitectual Attitude. Menez is so P.M.E.S.W.O.A.!

Sunny number games with shades and cocktail umbrellas

For 7300 days, without taking leap years and rotation inaccuracies into account, Reiz has existed. These are 20 Earth years, in which Reiz has been spinning around the Sun. Earth covers a distance of about 942 million kilometres each year when circling the Sun. In 20 years this adds up to 18.84 billion kilometres. We've been creating shades for 18.84 billion kilometres. If we imagine having to walk this distance, we would get quite hot. We much more prefer laying in the deck chair, while drinking a cocktail with an umbrella and putting on one of our strictly limited shades. The designs of our shade collection '20 were made at the start of our journey and they now reappear in edited versions. The models Dude '20, Mia '20, Le Fonque '20 und Stereo '20 are limited to 20 pieces per model and colour.

The Place de Vosges is said to be one of the most wonderful plazas of Paris.
This is where the most beautiful frames of the past years were presented at the last weekend of September.
Newly interpreted, handcrafted and optivisually perfectioned. The word "Zeitgeist" seems to fit best: the genetic design code of the frame classics merge with the nowadays here-and-now feeling. R20 is retropresentfuture. The place of presentation reflects the timeless nature of this collection.

A birdie helped picking the lentils. “The good must be put in the dish, the bad you may eat if you wish." After having solved the task, the maiden brought the dish to her step-mother, feeling joyful, and thinking that now she should go to the feast; but the step-mother denied it. She then wept bitterly and bemoaned her fate. This arouse the birdie’s compassion, it transformed into a fair and beautiful Amsel and sat down on the maiden’s nose. She then realized her situation and went in all haste to the festival. The son of the king was enchanted by her charm and beauty. “Oh graceful, how noble thy face, so delicate and pure. Its shape so balanced, its countenance so fine.” Even though she couldn’t understand a word, she gazed at him, and they fell in love.
